BMS Solution
What are the Building Management System Services?
A building management system (BMS), also known as Building Automation System (BAS), monitors and manages the mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical domains. It includes a wide range of services such as power, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, physical access control, pumping stations, elevators, lights, and security and safety systems.
As per the specific application and configuration, a BMS may be known as a building automation system (BAS), building management and control system (BMCS), and building energy management system (BEMS).
BMS or Building Systems Management is crucial because it improves reporting and information management, ensuring quality, informed decision-making, better performance, and reduced energy use. In addition to this, it can be installed as a standalone application that monitors and manage a wide range of building services across multiple platforms and web-enabled protocols.

There are some fundamental BMS or Building Systems Management Services which most of the organizations include, such as:
- HVAC System
It includes the duct temperature, pressure, and humidity, as well as exhaust temperature, where an alarm is generated if their value exceeds defined limits
- Central Fume Collection, Laminar Flow Units, Dust Collection System, Central Vacuum System, Heat blowers.
The BMS or Building Management System company monitors the performance of these systems. It allows maintenance for early identification of units. Any sudden breakdown would signal via alarms, due to which appropriate action can be taken to protect the product.
- Technical Steam System
This includes pressure or temperature in the piping system falling below the defined regulatory values for clean steam. BMS (Building Management System) has a facility to trigger an alarm indicating a threat to product quality.
- Hot Water System and Central Heating
Temperature and pump control monitoring via the BMS allows for the proper functioning of hot water distribution.
- Chilled Water System
BMS monitors the proper behavior of the system in terms of water/coolant temperature control or pump control to assure proper distribution within the distribution loop.

- Electrical Monitoring System
The BMS may monitor the consumed electrical power and the state of main electrical switches in any premises.
Building Systems Management offers centralized, control, flexible and interactive services. It focuses primarily on streamlining and improving business’ efficiency by interconnecting it with a building management system. There is a wide range of merits or benefits which an organization having a building management system can provide: -
- Improved Uptime
Monitoring asset and equipment performance are essential to maintain system uptime. It provides value to building owners, integration, maintenance, and service teams.
- Convenience and Flexibility
A BMS (Building Management System) connects all the networks of the building into one automated system. It allows monitoring and analyzing data, access, and control an area of structure or property from one centralized location or off-site via cloud technology.
- Reduced Operating Cost
BMS can increase the operational efficiency of an organization. Possessing a well-optimized environment increases staff productivity and reduces the costs of operating and maintaining a building.
- Enhance Building Security and Safety
An integrated building security system ensures the safety and security of the building occupants. While on the other hand, it also keeps resources, infrastructure, and assets well-protected and well-maintained.
- Traffic control
Through BMS, one can lead a steer transient traffic and personnel, open up evacuation routes during emergencies, and deny access to the restricted areas.
- Fire and smoke detection
Through BMS, one can get a warning signal if any fire or smoke is detected. This led the employees to evacuate easily and quickly if any emergency had been found.
- Eliminate the risk of criminal activity
BMS monitors and controls the security issues in real-time. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) video surveillance is one of the profound examples that ensure the security of the physical premises and the occupants.
- Eliminating unnecessary maintenance
Through BMS, a Building Management System company can improvise an organization's working and operational issues without requiring a large team. Instead, it assists in creating maintenance schedules teams, ensuring an organization is appropriately staffed and focused on the real issues based on each building’s individual needs.
